CatGate Privacy Policy

1. What We Don't Collect
CatGate does not collect any of the following:
- Apple ID, email address, name, or phone number
- Advertising identifier (IDFA)
- Social media accounts, content of blocked apps, or any text you type
- Location, contacts, photo library, or call history
2. What We Collect
CatGate collects the following anonymous data:
- Anonymous Installation ID: A UUID generated locally on your device at first launch, used to track the same install across sessions.
- Structured Usage Events: Timestamps and outcomes for actions such as app launch, onboarding completion, interception trigger, paywall display, subscription completion, and dismissal.
- Crash Reports: Technical stack traces, OS version, app version, and internal events leading to the crash.
None of this data contains anything that can identify you personally.
3. Data Storage & Third-Party Services
- Mixpanel (EU data center) — Product analytics, anonymous events only, GDPR-compliant. Mixpanel Privacy Policy
- RevenueCat (US data center) — Subscription status management, required by Apple's subscription mechanism. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
- Sentry (US data center, cloud-hosted) — Crash reporting, technical details only. SDK configured with

4. App Permissions & Family Controls
CatGate uses Apple's Family Controls and ManagedSettings frameworks to implement app interception. These permissions:
- Only apply to the apps you choose
- Do not upload your selected app list to any server (stored locally)
- Do not read the content of intercepted apps
- Are not used to monitor other people's devices (self-use only)
5. Pricing & Subscriptions
CatGate offers the following subscription options:
- Weekly: $12.99/week
- Monthly: $9.99/month
- Yearly: $59.99/year
All payments are processed through Apple's in-app purchase mechanism. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
6. Your Rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable privacy laws, you may:
- Access the anonymous data we hold about your device
- Request deletion (deleting the app removes local data; email us to request clearing of historical events from Mixpanel)
- Correct inaccurate data
- Transfer your data
7. Data Retention
- Usage events: automatically deleted after 24 months
- Crash reports: automatically deleted after 90 days
- Local data: cleared when the app is deleted
